Yes, they’re camouflage, but that won’t keep these kicks hidden in the Spring 2013 releases, as were sure just like the past BAPE and UNDFTD collabs they will sell out in hours.

Let’s take a look backwards to examine what has really led up to this three-way collab.

Since 2003 A Bathing Ape has been pushing out powerful pairs with adidas Originals. With nine shoes under their belt (four Super Ape Stars, four Super Ape Skates, and the B-Sides Supes) this pair marks their first double-digit entry into the adidas archive. In fact it won’t just be their tenth shoe, but their eleventh and twelfth, as a more black Campus 80s and even lighter ZX 5000 are scheduled for this Spring 2013 pack release as well.

While all of BAPE’s work with adidas has – up until this point – been solo, Undefeated on the other hand has had numerous experience in working not only with the trefoil team but alongside other designers as well (such as Dave’s Quality Meat, HUF, and Goodfoot, to name a few). Their span of silhouettes is vast as well, ranging from runners to basketball shoes, including EQT’s, Forum Mid’s, Superstars, Top Ten’s, ZX 8000′s, and more.

Combine the legacy and experience that UNDFTD has with the ambition and hype that BAPE unravels and you’re sure to see something special. Now if only they’ll hit the shelves this time!

Contribute hype to eatmoreshoes

Here at eatmoreshoes we love our kicks, but we also open our minds to the greater cultural world that surrounds and engulfs the sneaker scenes around the world. Music, arts, events, films, performance, fashion, food, and people are at the heart of what is so good about lush leather and sweet suede strapped to your ankles with soft vintage laces, fats or thins, colored or bleached. We truly believe it’s the diversity of the scenes that make things stay exciting and keep up momentum year after year.

For this reason we see ‘hype’ as something that should cover more than just the most recent shoe releases or the most awaited collaborations between boutiques and brands. We think an album debut party or an avantgarde street performance could be ‘hype’. We think independent zine issues and self-built, DIY, underground gallery spaces are worthy of the title ‘hype’.

Welcome to eatmoreshoes, an online magazine specifically geared towards the adidas and PUMA brands.

The idea behind our magazine is relatively simple: we’re creating a site that showcases both the ‘history’ and the ‘hype’ of the worldwide sneaker culture without being elitist or trying to dictate to our readers. We cover various aspects of this culture by providing archives of adidas and PUMA shoes and clothing, hunting down and interviewing collectors, searching out the best stores we can find, and reporting on the hype.
