Once again adidas puts out another seasonal upgrade, this time winterizing the infamous Conductor Hi.

Smooth black leather makes up the majority of the shoe, with subtle grey hints in the base of the toe box, outsoles, and trefoil emblem on the felt tongue. The shoe’s upper extends to a stiff felt cylinder, styled with a black and grey herringbone tweed pattern, that wraps high around the ankle, providing warmth, support, and moisture protection.

Rubber webbing connects the felt and leather upper, to provide further defense against water. While innovative, this additional structural feature makes it logistically impossible to pop the tongue out, and thus the shoes are much more suitable for utilitarian use (and not casual or leisure wear).

Released for the 2008 Winter Craftsmanship pack the shoes are now quite hard to come by in any regular sizes. Also released in this pack was a Rod Laver, two Nizza variations, three different ZX 700′s, and a Gazelle 2.

Contribute hype to eatmoreshoes

Here at eatmoreshoes we love our kicks, but we also open our minds to the greater cultural world that surrounds and engulfs the sneaker scenes around the world. Music, arts, events, films, performance, fashion, food, and people are at the heart of what is so good about lush leather and sweet suede strapped to your ankles with soft vintage laces, fats or thins, colored or bleached. We truly believe it’s the diversity of the scenes that make things stay exciting and keep up momentum year after year.

For this reason we see ‘hype’ as something that should cover more than just the most recent shoe releases or the most awaited collaborations between boutiques and brands. We think an album debut party or an avantgarde street performance could be ‘hype’. We think independent zine issues and self-built, DIY, underground gallery spaces are worthy of the title ‘hype’.

Welcome to eatmoreshoes, an online magazine specifically geared towards the adidas and PUMA brands.

The idea behind our magazine is relatively simple: we’re creating a site that showcases both the ‘history’ and the ‘hype’ of the worldwide sneaker culture without being elitist or trying to dictate to our readers. We cover various aspects of this culture by providing archives of adidas and PUMA shoes and clothing, hunting down and interviewing collectors, searching out the best stores we can find, and reporting on the hype.
