It seems that adidas can never go wrong when reinventing the Conductor silhouette. This time they’ve put out an almost entirely black version of the classic shoe with a simple, yet effective twist.

The shoe upper, heel, and tongue are a black-on-black checkered pattern, embossed against patent leather. They have chosen all-black for the stripes, eyelet strips, toebox, and tongue patch too.

The out sole – the only part of the shoe that isn’t black – is made of white rubber as usual. White stitching echoes it where the upper part of the out sole meets the leather.

The shoes sell with black laces as well, which complete the sleek and subtle look of these new Conductor Hi’s.

Contribute hype to eatmoreshoes

Here at eatmoreshoes we love our kicks, but we also open our minds to the greater cultural world that surrounds and engulfs the sneaker scenes around the world. Music, arts, events, films, performance, fashion, food, and people are at the heart of what is so good about lush leather and sweet suede strapped to your ankles with soft vintage laces, fats or thins, colored or bleached. We truly believe it’s the diversity of the scenes that make things stay exciting and keep up momentum year after year.

For this reason we see ‘hype’ as something that should cover more than just the most recent shoe releases or the most awaited collaborations between boutiques and brands. We think an album debut party or an avantgarde street performance could be ‘hype’. We think independent zine issues and self-built, DIY, underground gallery spaces are worthy of the title ‘hype’.

Welcome to eatmoreshoes, an online magazine specifically geared towards the adidas and PUMA brands.

The idea behind our magazine is relatively simple: we’re creating a site that showcases both the ‘history’ and the ‘hype’ of the worldwide sneaker culture without being elitist or trying to dictate to our readers.
