Once again adidas teams up with the Bay Area based street fashion clique Upper Playground to release these one-of-a-kind Decade Hi’s designed by Californian artist Sam Flores (12 Grain).

The shoe is done in a brave and beautiful colorway of grey, baby blue, and pastel pink. The main feature of the shoe is the dark grey upper embossed with baby blue illustrations of Sam Flores’ “faces” characters (matching the design of the black and white “faces” hoodie that he dropped for Upper Playground as well). His unique style is one of minimalism; incorporating as few strokes as possible to create the most dynamic and personalized figures.

Yummy, baby blue suede covers the toe box, side stripes, and heel collar. Pastel pink highlights pop the eyelets (out of their sockets) matching the adidas branding and trefoil embossed in the side of the upper. Some nice detailing on the plush grey tongue can be seen in the fat baby blue patch bearing the trefoil, Upper Playground walrus, and 12 Grain (Sam Flores’ own clothing label) logos in white.

The shoes come with a single pair of baby blues and look spectacular if one can manage to pull them off just right. While definitely a neck-breaker, these kicks aren’t easy to match at all, and take a seriously brave soul to rock them!
