The Consortium series never fails to release extremely colorful and typically controversial kicks. Once again, this remake of the Forum Mid will definitely raise eyebrows and break necks, but it’s one hard shoe to rock if you can’t roll with bright colors.

The colorway says it all, a definite summer release meant to mimic the juicy flavor and style of the watermelon, it consists of bright luschious greens and salmon pink. The main body of the shoe is done in a watermelon pattern, with wavy black, vertical lines printed on a green leather upper. The toe box, side stripes, mid sole, and parts of the heel are done in a lighter, cooler green. The heel collar and tongue are lined with dull pink.

The tongue patch has a colorful, cartoon image of watermelon on it, with the adidas text logo written underneath. The shoe’s inner is bright pink with a repeating black seed pattern to imitate the innards of a watermelon. The out sole is mostly cream, with a lower piece in pinkish, salmon red to match the rest of the colorway. The last touch is the royal blue eyelet signifying this is a Consortium release.

The Forum Mid “Watermelon” comes in the typical over-sized Consortium shoe box, royal blue with silver stripes, and rigged up with a bright green pair of laces. Unbelievably hard to match for some, yet we’ve found that they can go pretty good with the Muhammad Ali Values Confidence TT. Also from the same pack is a Forum Lo “Pumpkin” with a similar, brightly toned colorway for spring and summer wear.
