The Forum Mid is a classic basketball sneaker, once again remade in a clean colorway as part of the adidas Grün series. The collection was released by adidas in an attempt to be eco-friendly with their sneaker production, using only recycled and natural materials.

The light scarlet Forum Mid is broken only by the shiny silver stitching along the side stripes. The typical velcro strap – a dead giveaway of the Forum silhouette – is replaced here by a buttoned strap to continue the environmentally aware attitude of the kicks.

The Forum Mid Grün ‘Fire’ is taken a step further as part of the AR (Augmented Reality) Pack, patched on the tongue with a simple black and white flame symbol which can be read by a computer camera and used to enter a interactive virtual reality. The pack was put out by adidas Five-Two 3 and adidas Grün as a joint effort to showcase earthly elements (such as fire, water, sun, and more) on a Nizza, Samba, Superstar, and Stan Smith. Matching clothes were also released for the pack.

Contribute hype to eatmoreshoes

Here at eatmoreshoes we love our kicks, but we also open our minds to the greater cultural world that surrounds and engulfs the sneaker scenes around the world. Music, arts, events, films, performance, fashion, food, and people are at the heart of what is so good about lush leather and sweet suede strapped to your ankles with soft vintage laces, fats or thins, colored or bleached. We truly believe it’s the diversity of the scenes that make things stay exciting and keep up momentum year after year.

For this reason we see ‘hype’ as something that should cover more than just the most recent shoe releases or the most awaited collaborations between boutiques and brands. We think an album debut party or an avantgarde street performance could be ‘hype’. We think independent zine issues and self-built, DIY, underground gallery spaces are worthy of the title ‘hype’.

Welcome to eatmoreshoes, an online magazine specifically geared towards the adidas and PUMA brands.

The idea behind our magazine is relatively simple: we’re creating a site that showcases both the ‘history’ and the ‘hype’ of the worldwide sneaker culture without being elitist or trying to dictate to our readers.
