The Superstar Vin has always been a classic silhouette from adidas and the model is frequently featured in collaborations between various boutiques, creative designers, and the infamous three stripes.

A collaborative project known as BBU was formed between Beauty & Youth (by United Arrows), Bedwin & The Heartbreakers, and Undefeated (UNDFTD). This group had collaborated in 2010 on a Stan Smith, and this time their focus would be the well-known Superstar Vin.

The shoe’s main feature is its navy blue canvas upper, uniquely marked by the ventilation holes that lay between the white leather stripes. The heel tab and laces are also white, and the shell toe and out sole are done in the traditional off-white coloring. The footbed is made of cork and bares the BBU project logo above a basket and hoop symbol and the adidas branding.

Packed in a royal blue adidas Originals box, the kicks also come with navy blue lace replacements in two forms: flat and squared. Released on May 1st of 2011, these Superstar Vin’s came in a BBU pack including various clothing and accessories.

Contribute hype to eatmoreshoes

Here at eatmoreshoes we love our kicks, but we also open our minds to the greater cultural world that surrounds and engulfs the sneaker scenes around the world. Music, arts, events, films, performance, fashion, food, and people are at the heart of what is so good about lush leather and sweet suede strapped to your ankles with soft vintage laces, fats or thins, colored or bleached. We truly believe it’s the diversity of the scenes that make things stay exciting and keep up momentum year after year.

For this reason we see ‘hype’ as something that should cover more than just the most recent shoe releases or the most awaited collaborations between boutiques and brands. We think an album debut party or an avantgarde street performance could be ‘hype’. We think independent zine issues and self-built, DIY, underground gallery spaces are worthy of the title ‘hype’.

Welcome to eatmoreshoes, an online magazine specifically geared towards the adidas and PUMA brands.

The idea behind our magazine is relatively simple: we’re creating a site that showcases both the ‘history’ and the ‘hype’ of the worldwide sneaker culture without being elitist or trying to dictate to our readers.
