It’s difficult to find the perfect shoe for summer. Usually, several pairs feature individual attributes for dealing with hot weather, yet you seldom find it all in one shoe. The adidas Superstar 80s Clot, however, is that shoe.

With a white mesh textile, for optimum coolness, and ease of movement, this shoe is the ultimate summer sneak. The eyelet runways are white leather, contrasting with the heel patch. Above and below the leather patch runs a green and white strip, which turns into a pull tag at the top for easy removal.

The heel is reinforced and quite supportive. The side stripes are lined with gold stitching that matches the trefoil logo on the heel and the ‘kzkLOT’ emblem on the white leather tongue. The shell toe, an iconic piece of adidas’ design and outsole are both cream colored rubber.

Designed by Kazuki Kuraishi and CLOT for the Originals by Originals (ObyO) series as a follow-up to the black ‘Breathe’ Superstar that dropped a year earlier, this highly limited release was mostly only sold in Asia.

We were lucky enough to grab our pair from No74 in Berlin Mitte, where, like No6 in London, there were only five pairs made available for sale. UNDFTD stores in the US were also packing stock but the shoes are long since sold out.
