Foot Patrol x adidas Campus 80s B-Sides Release

Last weekend in London was an exciting time for Foot Patrol fanatics. First the small boutique threw a launch party on Friday to celebrate the coming release of their new B-Sides collaboration with adidas Originals, followed the next day by the actual sale of the navy blue suede Campus 80s.

A few hardcore fans stayed the night on the street after the launch party waiting until morning for the store to open at 9AM so they could be the first in line to grab a pair of the creatively designed pony hair Campus 80s. By the time Foot Patrol rolled open their doors there were at least a dozen collectors waiting eagerly on the street to get their hands on the goods. Some of them even came wearing the one of the three A-Sides releases from 2007, in yellow, grey, or red.

A discrete cameo appearance was made later in the afternoon by long time collector and talented musician Ollie Teeba (from The Herbaliser), a self-proclaimed Campus addict, who wouldn’t be known to miss a release of shoe like this one. What marks the shoe as extra special is the fact that it’s the first collaboration Foot Patrol has done since they re-opened their store from a haitus 18 months ago. As expected the lush trainers were sold in limited numbers just as the originals releases from 2007 were.

The shoes were showcased in specially made display cases, comparing the older A-Sides versions to the new B-Sides release. Each purchase was packaged with a limited edition individually numbered art print, depicting a close-up shot of the Campus 80s’ stripe designs.

Here at eatmoreshoes we’re so pleased to see Foot Patrol back in action. We had a great time at both the launch party and the release, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with in the near future. Welcome back Foot Patrol!
