The adidas Stockholm is arguably one of the most popular models from the European City series making it extremely hard to come across, both in shops and online. The silhouette’s scarcity is due to the fact that it has rarely been re-issued and is highly sought after by adidas collectors worldwide.

Originally released in the late 70′s the model featured the colors of the Swedish flag: blue being the primary color and yellow being the secondary. The colors blend in well with the use of suede and leather throughout the shoe. The model was also one of the first non-sports-related trainers that adidas produced, created for the casual and lifestyle demands in the market.

Models like the Stockholm, London, Dublin and Berlin became very popular over the years and the casual silhouette of the trainer started off a fashion trend between certain street wear cultures. The Stockholm has seen very few remakes over the years however the colorway of the original has been used on multiple models including the adidas TRX.

One of the best reissues according to fans of the model was the Sneakersnstuff (SNS) Consortium version from Fall / Winter 2009. This collaborative remake featured a fluffy, grey suede body with blue leather stripes on one side of the shoe and yellow leather stripes on the other. The finer details were the gum sole and the embossed trefoil and SNS logo on the heel tab of the shoe. This Stockholm was an instant hit and adidas Consortium stockists sold out almost instantly, thus making it a highly regarded release to this date.
