Lollapalooza is a giant music festival that has been happening since 1991, starting in Chicago, Illinois, and making it’s way around the country each consecutive year. In 2011 the festival was thrown again and this time adidas Originals came through to make a big presence and join the fun. Read more about the three stripes’ involvement on their YouTube channel:
adidas Originals showed up in a big way at Lollapalooza 2011 with a giant adidas shoe box. Inside was the adidas Originals Iconics Gallery where people could check out the latest Originals shoes and apparel and the adidas Originals Iconics commercial featuring Big Sean, Dwight Howard, Snoop and Jeremy Scott.

Contribute hype to eatmoreshoes
Here at eatmoreshoes we love our kicks, but we also open our minds to the greater cultural world that surrounds and engulfs the sneaker scenes around the world. Music, arts, events, films, performance, fashion, food, and people are at the heart of what is so good about lush leather and sweet suede strapped to your ankles with soft vintage laces, fats or thins, colored or bleached. We truly believe it’s the diversity of the scenes that make things stay exciting and keep up momentum year after year.
For this reason we see ‘hype’ as something that should cover more than just the most recent shoe releases or the most awaited collaborations between boutiques and brands. We think an album debut party or an avantgarde street performance could be ‘hype’. We think independent zine issues and self-built, DIY, underground gallery spaces are worthy of the title ‘hype’.

The idea behind our magazine is relatively simple: we’re creating a site that showcases both the ‘history’ and the ‘hype’ of the worldwide sneaker culture without being elitist or trying to dictate to our readers.
