As the summer of 2011 comes to an end kids prepare for their return to school and adidas Originals steps in to help keep them looking fresh. But this time, instead of pushing slick apparel and killer kicks the blue trefoil provides free haircuts in select boutiques across the country. To help kids look sharp for back-to-school, adidas Originals partnered with several retailers to provide free haircuts along I-95. From Shoe Gallery in Miami to DTLR in Baltimore, then Villa in Philly and finally BX Sports in the Bronx, kids were happy to line up for a fresh cut.

Contribute hype to eatmoreshoes
Here at eatmoreshoes we love our kicks, but we also open our minds to the greater cultural world that surrounds and engulfs the sneaker scenes around the world. Music, arts, events, films, performance, fashion, food, and people are at the heart of what is so good about lush leather and sweet suede strapped to your ankles with soft vintage laces, fats or thins, colored or bleached. We truly believe it’s the diversity of the scenes that make things stay exciting and keep up momentum year after year.
For this reason we see ‘hype’ as something that should cover more than just the most recent shoe releases or the most awaited collaborations between boutiques and brands. We think an album debut party or an avantgarde street performance could be ‘hype’. We think independent zine issues and self-built, DIY, underground gallery spaces are worthy of the title ‘hype’.
