In 2007 adidas Originals collaborated with London-based sneaker store Foot Patrol to create a remake of the Campus 80s silhouette. Three colorways were chosen – burgundy, gold, and grey – and each shoe was packaged with matching wrist and head sweatbands bearing the Foot Patrol logo. The trainers also came in specially designed boxes, similar to the typical ‘royal blue’ adidas Originals boxes, but with the addition of Wes Tyerman’s mug on the back.

The special feature of these shoes is in the details. The soft suede upper, broken only by white leather side stripes on the outside, and animal textured stripes on the inside. The innersole is marked with both the Foot Patrol logo and the adidas trefoil, and the outsole bears an off-white tint, uncommon to the original release of the silhouette and a mark of a special remake.

Long-term collectors and vintage heads can agree that these remakes definitely pay accurate homage to the first release of the Campus 80s silhouette, and their limited sale in 2007 is still a buzz topic as time goes on. The shoes are extremely hard to come by and will likely continue to be well into the future.
