Kazuki Kuraishi (aka KzK) never seems to fail with his attention to detail, unique design sensibility, and general classy swagger. And these adidas Campus 80s from the Originals by Originals (ObyO) series are walking proof of that (literally). A perfect inclusion for the early 2010 ObyO line, this revision of the OG silhouette pulls a few new tricks out of the bag.

Firstly we just love this colorway. It’s too simple to turn away, and achieves an almost elegant status with it’s subtle use of rich burgundy crushing against the overall black suede upper. The off-white sole in 80s fashion fits beautifully against the dark hues and connects in harmony to the matching sockliner. As always KzK’s little details take it the extra mile: unique white stitching patterns, visible perforations instead of side stripes, and his trademark pull tab and heel stripe.

This wasn’t the only pair of lush kicks Kazuki dropped in early 2010, and in fact if these are too tame for you louder folk then we’d highly suggest you look no further than his “cobalt” blue and “light scarlet” red Campus 80s done in the same style. Still don’t fit your fancy? Need something both downplayed and stylish, and maybe a tad bit more unique? Check out his work on the grey and gold Campus 80s “Mintos” for a superb colab.
