The Conductor Hi was originally released in the 1970′s and is well-known due to its use by the famous basketball player Patrick Ewing. In fact, the athlete and the shoes are so closely connected that many adidas fans tend to call this kick the Ewing instead by its official label name.
In 2009 adidas Originals went a bit crazy and put out some quite bright colorways to bring back the Conductor Hi. One of these releases was this white, orange, and cyan version, particularly eye-catching for its shimmering floral pattern on the cyan colored parts of the upper.
As with all Conductor Hi’s, the shoe is made for sturdy ankle support and features large slits in the lacestays so that the tongue may be worn tightly tied against the shin or loosely on the outside for a more casual look. The large, thick rubber sole gives great support on both the heel and the toe, and the extra padding in the sockliner adds comfort for the wearer.
