adidas Originals presents The Sleep-Over in Palm Springs CA

Already known for throwing their great Do-Over parties, adidas Originals continues the fun vibe with a new Sleep-Over party spanning a full weekend in Palm Springs, California. Check out the YouTube video if you couldn’t make the event and read what the three stripes have to say about it:

The Do-Over crew took the journey back to The Ace Hotel and Swim Club in Palm Springs, California for their second ever full weekend (September 16 & 17) of fun in the desert sun, aka The Sleep-Over. Spanning two full days, the party kept everyone sweaty between dips in the pool.

Special thanks to adidas Originals, Red Bull Music Academy, The Ace Hotel and Swim Club and to all that came out.

Providing the soundtrack for the weekend were DJ’s Babu, Egon, Pase Rock, Sammy Bananas, (thee) Mike B, Goddollars, Kid Gusto, Even Ian and The Do-Over’s very own Haycock and Strong.

Contribute hype to eatmoreshoes

Here at eatmoreshoes we love our kicks, but we also open our minds to the greater cultural world that surrounds and engulfs the sneaker scenes around the world. Music, arts, events, films, performance, fashion, food, and people are at the heart of what is so good about lush leather and sweet suede strapped to your ankles with soft vintage laces, fats or thins, colored or bleached. We truly believe it’s the diversity of the scenes that make things stay exciting and keep up momentum year after year.

For this reason we see ‘hype’ as something that should cover more than just the most recent shoe releases or the most awaited collaborations between boutiques and brands. We think an album debut party or an avantgarde street performance could be ‘hype’. We think independent zine issues and self-built, DIY, underground gallery spaces are worthy of the title ‘hype’.

How to contribute

Currently eatmoreshoes is open to covering and promoting any creative individuals who love sneakers and find themselves (and their work) somehow relative to the various shoe scenes around the globe. Welcome to eatmoreshoes, an online magazine specifically geared towards the adidas and PUMA brands.

The idea behind our magazine is relatively simple: we’re creating a site that showcases both the ‘history’ and the ‘hype’ of the worldwide sneaker culture without being elitist or trying to dictate to our readers.
