The Olympic Games and adidas go together like bread and butter, so it’s never a surprise when special shoes and jackets are released by the brand with the three stripes to honor the most internationally known athletic event in the world. The Games of the XXIX Olympiad, or better known as the 2008 Olympic Summer Games, that were held in Beijing, China, were honored by a 2007 release of this beautiful, brightly colored track top from adidas Originals.
Representing the Chinese capitol city, this jacket takes its colorway from the Beijing flag, its main outer shell done in orangish red and accented by yellow stripes down both sleeves. The red is further contrasted with white Chinese characters on the front chest area. White also appears on either side of the zipper track and as a trim on both of the lower front pockets. The zipper itself displays the adidas Olympics logo, a trefoil mixed with an olympic torch, in white on royal blue. The same logo appears again, larger, as a patch on the lower right side of the jacket’s back.
