PUMA Gold Fit 80 (Made in Italy)

Almost identical to its special edition sibling made in West Germany, this OG version of the PUMA Gold Fit 80 differs in some subtle ways. First and maybe most notably, the side stripes are given a black stitching that blends the lines together and helps the super soft suede appear to be one single form. Above this the tongue and ankle collar are both modeled differently – the latter being a less severe curve around the foot itself – and below the midsole is spiced with a layer of black rubber that surrounds the greater part of the shoe (disappearing near the toebox). The heel tab is also a bit different, made of thick, yellow leather instead of the thinly cut, slender suede strip that appears on the “Deutsche Sporthilfe” version.

The rest of the trainer is basically identical to the above mentioned special German Foundation release, and to be quite honest, owning either pair would make any trainer collector a lucky duck indeed.
