The Superstar is arguably one of adidas’ most famous silhouettes and despite their moves into newer models they never forget to drop remakes and new colorways for this long-standing favorite of sneaker collectors and hip hop heads worldwide. Beyond applying a variety of different colors, adidas has been known to shake things up with various materials to give the shoe an entirely different look and feel.
What we have here is a nylon Superstar from 2003. The pink and black (or cosmo and diva, as the box states) upper is made of nylon and weaves the two colors together creating a detailed and pleasing pattern across the shoe. Three leather, lighter pink side stripes match the tongue and heel patch. The laces, eyelets, and sockliner are a bright pink matching the upper, and the shoe is finished off with a white outsole and shell.

Contribute hype to eatmoreshoes
Here at eatmoreshoes we love our kicks, but we also open our minds to the greater cultural world that surrounds and engulfs the sneaker scenes around the world. Music, arts, events, films, performance, fashion, food, and people are at the heart of what is so good about lush leather and sweet suede strapped to your ankles with soft vintage laces, fats or thins, colored or bleached. We truly believe it’s the diversity of the scenes that make things stay exciting and keep up momentum year after year.
For this reason we see ‘hype’ as something that should cover more than just the most recent shoe releases or the most awaited collaborations between boutiques and brands. We think an album debut party or an avantgarde street performance could be ‘hype’. We think independent zine issues and self-built, DIY, underground gallery spaces are worthy of the title ‘hype’.
