The adidas Originals a.039 collection introduced in Spring/Summer 2010 was built to offer a contemporary streetwear concept for the urban life. It is named after the internal code a.039 for the well-known adidas Originals blue hue, but the collection embodies the adidas Originals strong spirit and iconic styles rather than the color itself. The clean lines, three-stripe mark,
trefoil logo, and vivid colors of the Originals shoes are translated into collegiate outfits directed towards a young, fashion-conscious crowd.

This cut sewn windbreaker jacket in fairway green is consistent with the athletic roots of the a.039 collection. Made of 100% mesh lining and 100% polyester shell, it is lightweight and easily stored in a pack for windy and rainy weather use. The stretch cuffs and the banded bottom of the jacket prevent natural elements from entering, the tonal front zipper and drawstring hood allow for a custom fit, and the four side pockets on the lower front offer room for personal items.

The practicality of the jacket is stylishly enhanced by adidas’ signature motifs of color blocking and three stripes, which are displayed in a contrast of a deep green base with light green panels on the body and arms. The adidas branding is printed on the upper left chest, and the rectangular adidas Originals a.039 label on the mesh lining features a subtle letter “a” set in the adidas blue hue.

This windbreaker jacket is representative of the versatility and luxury of adidas Originals a.039 collection, which has gained a worldwide following since its recent inception. The sportswear line can be found only at select adidas retailers and online stores.

Contribute hype to eatmoreshoes

Here at eatmoreshoes we love our kicks, but we also open our minds to the greater cultural world that surrounds and engulfs the sneaker scenes around the world. Music, arts, events, films, performance, fashion, food, and people are at the heart of what is so good about lush leather and sweet suede strapped to your ankles with soft vintage laces, fats or thins, colored or bleached. We truly believe it’s the diversity of the scenes that make things stay exciting and keep up momentum year after year.

For this reason we see ‘hype’ as something that should cover more than just the most recent shoe releases or the most awaited collaborations between boutiques and brands. We think an album debut party or an avantgarde street performance could be ‘hype’. We think independent zine issues and self-built, DIY, underground gallery spaces are worthy of the title ‘hype’.

Welcome to eatmoreshoes, an online magazine specifically geared towards the adidas and PUMA brands.

The idea behind our magazine is relatively simple: we’re creating a site that showcases both the ‘history’ and the ‘hype’ of the worldwide sneaker culture without being elitist or trying to dictate to our readers. We cover various aspects of this culture by providing archives of adidas and PUMA shoes and clothing, hunting down and interviewing collectors, searching out the best stores we can find, and reporting on the hype.
