Michael currently works in Manhattan directing television shows that you’ve likely never heard of. He actually has done work in television that he’s proud of (directing live performances by Elton John and Sting, for example) but it’s been a while. He danced professionally with a b-boy / popping crew in is youth and today still teaches youngsters how to pop by doing free group classes with his Ridgewood Pop Shop. He has a special affinity for 1980s adidas runner models adidas and they share equal space in his closet with his Superstars.
Here at eatmoreshoes our success and growth is based on community contributions and teamwork. We aren’t just sneaker heads, but we’re talented individuals – writers, programmers, performers, photographers, videographers, editors, talkers, and movers – who come together in order to push a group effort: sharing our love of kicks and all things shoe-related.

Contribute hype to eatmoreshoes
Here at eatmoreshoes we love our kicks, but we also open our minds to the greater cultural world that surrounds and engulfs the sneaker scenes around the world. Music, arts, events, films, performance, fashion, food, and people are at the heart of what is so good about lush leather and sweet suede strapped to your ankles with soft vintage laces, fats or thins, colored or bleached. We truly believe it’s the diversity of the scenes that make things stay exciting and keep up momentum year after year.
For this reason we see ‘hype’ as something that should cover more than just the most recent shoe releases or the most awaited collaborations between boutiques and brands. We think an album debut party or an avantgarde street performance could be ‘hype’. We think independent zine issues and self-built, DIY, underground gallery spaces are worthy of the title ‘hype’.
