adidas Campus 80s

Over three decades old the adidas Campus silhouette remains a staple of comfort in the casual trainer market. In particular the 80s version of the model is especially iconic given the unmarked tongue, thick, simple, textured sole, and the typically all suede upper layered in leather side stripes.

For the Fall of 2012 adidas Originals re-releases this infamous low cut shoe with a dark forest green and white colorway that’s a bit reminiscent of the House of Pain Campus 80s from 2009. Super soft suede done up with matching green laces, the box also provides a pair of whites for those that want the contrasting look. No off-white or cream colored sole though; they’ve gone full white this time for a crispy clean finish.

Unlike the the Foot Patrol Campus 80s from 2011 there’s no special detailing or extra features to create hype. And that in itself might just be the perfect bait to lure in the true heads from the ‘less is more’ crowd. Clean, simple, straightforward, and true to the OG.
