adidas Superstar 80s

For the Fall of 2012 adidas Originals has been revisiting a wide variety of their age-old classics and reviving them with new colorways, and we’re happy to announce that a sweet pair of Superstar 80s will also take the stage. Slated for an August release, these brightly colored “craft gold” suede Supes are made of some seriously high quality materials with a thick and sturdy build to support them.

Paying proper homage to past makes of this model, these Superstar 80s are given thin tongues, iconic side wall stitching patterns, and off-white “legacy” cream shell toes and herringbone soles units. What’s so cool about these is the color blast added to them, something that’s certainly been done before as the Superstar is a model which has had no shortage of varied remakes, but this time they strike us as particularly memorable.

If the basics aren’t enough for you adidas has gone the funky route inspired by Foot Patrol with an inclusion of snakeskin side stripes on the medial walls. Not only was this feature utilized in the red, yellow, and grey Campus 80s from the UK-based design boutique in 2007, but it resurfaced again with the B-Sides series in 2011.

Simply put these are downright delicious. Kudos adidas, and cheers for a killer Autumn trainer.
